Christian Bang Jensen holds a master’s degree from both The Funen Art Academy and Malmö Art Academy. As an artist his work deals with the act of collecting and discourses of knowledge production in various spaces and institutions. The work is often composed of different elements and often takes shape as a kind of extended collage which often incorporates sculpture, installation and many times utilizing already existing museum collections. So-called rational modes of thinking are disrupted by associative mind processes and objects, art works and materials are often used to underline qualities of animism and rhizomatic connections to different regimes of knowledge production. There is an underlying interest in cultural syncretism, mythology and history
